fitness fans, now are getting
loving looks from gas-shy
commuters as well.
If one out of every 10
commuters traveling an
average of six miles swit
ched from his car to a bike,
five billion gallons of
gasoline could be saved
every year, says The Road
Information Program
(TRIP).
Of every 50 commuters,
one uses a bicycle and 40 use
a car. The others walk or use
some form of public transit.
