A cow in the herd of
Charles H. Gable, Conebella
Farm, Elverson, Penna., 5
year old registered Ayrshire,
Conebella Royal Tenora, has
completed an official milk
production record of 14,260
pounds, with 570 pounds of
butterfat, on twice daily
milking for a 305 day DHIR
testing period. This record is
one of many being made by
an increasing number of
registered Ayrshires on the
Ayrshire Breeders’
Association official DHIR
testing program.
Tenora’s record is one and
three-eights times the
national average for all
dairy cows. The Ayrshire
breed is noted for persistent,
profitable production qf
nutritious, quality milk.
Also in the herd is the
following cow and her
record: Conebella Ruth, 11,
12,810 pounds milk, 525
pounds butterfat, one and
one-fourth times national
average.
