Dairy results of local interest are summarized below: AYRSHIRE BULLS Richard M. Lyons, of Cochranton, Crawford County, showed the grand champion Ayrshire bull. The animal, “Lyonsway B.M. John,” is a bull calf. Reserve champion Ayr shire bull, “Pepper Albi Michael,” also a bull calf, was exhibited by John Ocker and Family, of RDS, Ship pensburg, Cumberland County. Ocker, of RDS, Shippensburg, Cumberland County, won reserve grand and reserve senior cham pionships with his 4-year-old Ayrshire, “Masonic Homes Flashy Harriet,” Ocker’s cow also was judged reserve junior show champion. The junior champion, “Towerview Kelly’s Judy,” a senior yearling, was exhibited by Kennard E. Henley, Jr. Reserve junior champion was shown by another member of the Henley family, Sharon Lynne. Her animal, “Towerview KeDy’s Beth,” is a senior yearling. Premier exhibitor and premier breeder awards went to John E. Ocker and Family, of RDS, Ship pensburg. AYRSHIRE JUNIOR Kennard E. Nolan, of Bir chrunville, Chester County, showing “Quaker West Janet Darlene,” a 3-year-old Brown Swiss, captured the grand championship in junior classes. David is a member of the Tri Com munity 4-H Club. “Foxtract Beautiful Tish,” also a 3-year-old, exhibited by Linda Sue Witmer, of Willow Street, Lancaster County, was judged the reserve grand champion. She is a member of the Lancaster County 4-H Brown Swiss Club. HOLSTEIN BULLS Huntsdale Stock Farms, of Carlisle, Cumberland County, exhibiting “Hunt sdale Jake Black Eagle,” a yearling bull, captured the grand championship in Holstein bull classes. The reserve grand champion, “Franlo-Alken- Don,” a bull calf, was shown by Franlo-Alken Farm, of Hublersburg, Centre County. HOLSTEIN COWS Kerchenhill Holstein Farms, of Richland, Berks County, captured the grand championship in Holstein open Judging competition with their 4-year-old, “Benbro Kingpin Polly.” The same animal was also selected as senior champion in earlier judging com petition. Reserve grand champion and reserve senior champion was “Huntsdale Malinda Skycross,” a 4-year-old shown by Huntsdale Stock Farms, of Carlisle, Cum berland County. Junior champion, “Tidy Brook Rose Capsule,” a senior yearling was exhibited by Carolyn Sue Myers and Lynn and Bonnie Miller, of RDI, Greencastle, Franklin County. Providence Haven Holsteins Inc., of Carlisle, Cumberland County, exhibited the reserve junior champion, “Jaomis Barbie Reflection,” a junior yearling. Gor-Wood Acres Farm, of RDI, Mansfield, Tioga County, received the premier exhibitor award. The premier breeder award went to Kingway Holsteins, of RD2, Delta, York County. HOLSTEIN JUNIOR Linda Kauffman, of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, won the Holstein Junior grand championship with her 3-year-old, “Hillglen Dixie Fashion.” Linda is a member of the Lancaster County 4-H Dairy Club. Jed Beshore, of New Cumberland, York County, showing “Beshore Appolo Nina Octa,” a 4-year-old, won the reserve grand championship in Holstein judging. He is a member of the York County 4-H Dairy Club. JERSEY BULLS Huntsdale Stock Farms, of Carlisle, Cumberland County, won in bull classes with their bull calf, “Hunt sdale Empire Charmer.” Reserve grand champion was “Top-O-Hill Criterion Special,” a bull calf owned by Mildred E. Seeds, of Downingtown, Chester County.
