Sta-Rite Full-Comfort
Milking Parlors and
Reflex Arms... t i
Smallherd
modernization with
big herd potential.
The Sta-Rite Full-Comfort Milking
Parlor takes the bumps and bruises out
of milking. Straight-through design gets
your cows in and out faster, safer... lets each
cow use the room she needs. Udder position
is close to operator... no bending, no stretching
All milking equipment within easy reach.
Curbing is stainless steel... sanitary, durable.
Sta-Rite Reflex Arms™ eliminate milking’s most
important decision; when to remove the milker.
Shuts off vacuum automatically when milk flow
stops, removes milker from udder ... and raises—
the unit, out of operator’s way. Guards cows
against over-milking. Guards your income
against under-milking.
In a double-six Sta-Rite Full-Comfort Milking Parlor,
with Reflex Arms and Air Gates for fingertip control
of cow entry and exit, one good man can milk 75
to 80 cows per hour. And Sta-Rite Full-Prep™
Stalls mean clean, fast, milking starts —

Slides Show
Hands Signals
For Farmers
“Hand Signals for Agriculture”
is the title of a series of 12 slides
being offered by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture to
help prevent accidents on the
farm and to save time.
The 2x2 color slides show 11
different signals made with the
hands and arms. They are useful
when noise or distance makes
voice communication difficult or
impossible. Most are one-arm
signals so they can be given even
when only one arm is available.
The signals were field tested in
several states and are similar to
those used in other occupations.
The series of slides (number A
-60) can be ordered from
Photography Division, Office of
Communication, USDA,
Washington, D. C. 20250. Cost is
$B. Two copies of a one-page
illustrated narrative guide ac
company each set. The series
was produced by USDA’s Ex
tension Service, in cooperation
with the University of Wisconsin.
Friendly discussion—an
' argument in its initial stages.
