Southeast Coastal-Piedmont: First part of week cloudy and

In the herd of Cocalico Farm,
James W. Martin Stevens, Pa., a
senior-four-year old registered
Ayrshire cow named Masonic
Homes Hi Judy has completed an
official milk production record of
14510 pounds, with 603 pounds of
butterfat, on twice daily milking
for 305-day DHIR testing period.
This record is one of many being
made by an increasing number of
registered Ayrshires on the
Ayrshire Breeders’ Association
official DHIR testing program.
Judy’s record is one and three
eight times the national average
for all dairy cows. The Ayrshire
breed is noted for persistent,
profitable production of
nutritious, quality milk.

milk, 520 pounds fat.
Fitting a Man’s Suit Jacket
Suit jacket fit starts with the
shoulders, padded or natural.
Mrs. Ruth Aim Wislon, Extension
clothing specialist at The Pen
nsylvania State University, says
the fit at the shoulders whould
allow for easy movement, with
full cut armholes. The jacket
should hang smoothly when
buttoned. Button only the middle
button of a three-button suit. The
suit collar should hug the neck,
allowing about one-half inch of
the shirt collar to show in the
back. The lapel should always lie
flat against the jacket. The jacket
should cover the seat of the pants,
and be long enough to to touch the
thumb tip.
