Small feeder supply weak to
mostly 1.00 lower.
Four day receipts 19,700 as
compared 22,100 previous week
and 19,900 a year ago. Slaughter
steers approximately 45 percent,
heifers 30 percent, cows 7 percent
feeders near 15 percent including
consignments for Friday auction
sale'. Fed cattle trade followed a
highly erratic pattern during
week under review. Prices

Monday supply, made a sub
stantial recovery at midweek as
hazardous roads virtually
paralyzed livestock movement
only to register another sharp
downturn on Thursday. However,
demand was fairly broad at the
lowered prices and Canadian
buying interests were fairly
aggressive with the volume
bought for export increased over
most recent weeks. Marketings
poorly distributed over trading
period as the Monday run swelled
by a long string of Texas and
Oklahoma origin and more than
50 percent of the four day total
arrived for the opening session.
Overall finish quite attractive
