PI Convention The Pennsylvania Farmers’ Association (PFA), a general farm organization, will hold its 23rd annual meeting and con vention November 18-21 at the Penn Harris Motor Inn, Camp Hill. Purpose of the convention is to elect officers and adopt policies for 1974. The convention theme is “PFA - Link to More Net Income.” PFA has more than 17,200 family members and is affiliated with 52 county units. The state group is affiliated with the American Farm Bureau Federation, the largest general farm organization in the world. The convention officially opens Sunday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. with a slide presentation - America The Beautiful - which will be presented by Glenn M. Eshelman of Lancaster County. The voting delegates, num bering 150 and representing county units, will go into session Monday, November 19, at 8:30 p.m. They will be reading suggested policies presented by local farmers’ associations, and final adoption of 1974 policies will take place Wednesday, November 21, at 8:30 a.m. at the organization’s annual business meeting. Election of officers, including the state group’s vice president, will also be held at the business meeting. An annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association (PACMA) will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. PACMA is the marketing and bargaining affiliate of PFA. Speakers for this occasion are: J. Ward Cooper, procurement director, Knouse Foods Cooperative; Paul Fleischer, owner-manager, United Poultry Company, and Carl Carlson, General manager, Ezra W. Martin Company. At a dinner Monday at 6 p.m. the finals of a statewide talent contest within the organization will be held.
