Market Addition Gradeable nest run (GNR; egg prices, computed by Egg Clearinghouse, Inc., Durham, N.H., appear for the first time this week in Lancaster Farming. The prices reflect actual trading prices on Egg Clearinghouse, a nationwide trading center for producers, packers and marketers. Pa. Broiler Placements Up 45 pet. Placements of broiler chicks in the Commonwealth during the week ending October 27, 1973 were 1,293,000. The placements were 45 percent above the corresponding week a year earlier, but 10 percent below the previous week. Average placements during the past 10 weeks were 15 percent above a year earlier. Settings for broiler chicks were 2,082,000 - 3 percent above the previous week and 24 percent above the comparable period a year earlier. The current 3-week total of eggs set is 22 percent above the same period a year ago.. Inshipments of broiler-type chicks during the past 10 weeks averaged 26,000 compared with 13,000 a year ago..
