Miller of Conestoga, Academy of Science and the graduate assistant in entomology Entomological Society of at The Pennsylvania State America. He has presented talks University was named winner of (he Graduate Student Recognition Award of the Eastern Branch, Entomological Society of America, during the Society's annual meeting November 1 in New York City. As the winner, Miller will receive $lOO and all expenses paid to attend the national meeting of the Entomological Society of America November 26 to 30 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude D. Miller of RDI, Conestoga. An outstanding graduate student, Miller has been awarded Graduate School Fellowships annually during the past two years at Penn State. He also received the outstanding presentation award for graduate student competition at a Meeting in Minature sponsored in 1971 by the Central Pennsylvania Section of the American Chemical Society. During the summer of 1971 he was awarded a fellowship to study invertebrate zoology at the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratories, Massachusetts. His research efforts at Penn State have produced a published paper and two presentations at scientific meetings. A second Penn State research paper is now being printed. He also published two research papers as a result of undergraduate studies' at Millersville State College where he received the bachelor of arts degree in biology In 1970. Considered an exceptional scholar by the faculty in en tomology at Penn State, Miller has compiled an academic average of 3.95 out of a possible 4.0 in graduate school.
