According to state police, Jacob M. Dupler was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Dr. Charles A. Callis at 12:05 p.m. Dupler’s body was reportedly found by a neighbor, after Dupler was apparently driving the tractor near an embankment when the wheels slipped on the wet grass and the tractor upset. Police estimated the accident occurred about 10:30 a.m., although Dupler was not found until some time later. Bom in Conoy Twp., he was the son of the late Henry C. and Harriet Miller Dupler and was married to the late Elsie Shenk Dupler, who died in October, 1970. He was a member of Rubl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim RD4.
