Champion showmanship honors in the Martin, New Holland
Ephrata Fair Baby Beef Show went to Mike
Fairs At Ephrata, Lampeter
Junior market lamb competition at this
week’s Ephrata Fair was dominated by the
Herr Family. Barbara Herr, left, took grand
champion honors with her Dorset,
Elizabeth had the reserve grand, a Suffolk,
and Christian showed the top on-foot
animal in the carcass lamb contest. All are
children of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Herr,
Narvon RD2.
Ronald Zimmerman captured grand
champion honors in Thursday night’s baby
beef competition at the Ephrata Fair. He’s
shown with his Angus steer accepting a
trophy from Mrs. Carol Weaver, wife of the
beef show’s general chairman.

Lancaster County's newest Poultry Queen, Rhoda Stauffer,
greeted spectators at Wednesday night’s parade held during
the Ephrata Community Fair. Rhoda is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Stauffer, Ephrata.

Ephrata Fair Hog Show on Thursday.
