Owen J. Roberts Chapter
Selects Committee Chairmen
An executive meeting of the
Owen J. Roberts FFA Chapter
was called to order last week by
Steve Ussier, president. There
were 27 members present.
The secretary read the minutes
of the previous meeting. They
were approved as read. The
treasurers report was read; the
report was filed for audit.
President Ussier stated that
members should be prompt in
paying their State and National
dues at $2.50. Shane Clark moved
that those members who had not
paid dues by the first Fun Night
could not attend. Motion was
seconded by Tom Mower; motion
carried.
Clark moved that the Chester
County dues of 25 cents be paid

for all the Chapter members out
of the treasury. Mower seconded,
motion carried.
Mower moved that committee
chairmen be chosen. Clark
seconded; motion carried. Ussier
read the list of prospective
committee chairmen. Lora
Hilbert moved that those
members be accepted. Clark
seconded; motion carried.
Members selected for committee
chairmen were as follows:
Ruth Friedhofer, budget; Lisa
Bremen, public relations;
George Tkaczuk, supervised
farming; Steve Ussier, program;
Shane Clark, seed sales; Dave
Pepple, scholarship and
leadership; Grant Hunsberger,
recreation; Shane Clark, BOAC;
Lora Hilbert, exhibit; Darrel
Stoltzfus, bulb sales.
Ussier announced that all
orders for FFA jackets should be
given to the Chapter secretary.
Advisor Burtner asked Ruth
Friedhofer, Chester County
secretary, to report on the County
meeting of the previous evening.
She reported that County dues
had been set at 25 cents per
member and proceeded to talk
about plans for the area’s
Leadership Training School,
which will be held at Camp In
nabah, Spring City RD, October
11. The theme is to be “I’m 0.K.,
You’re 0.K.--What’s the
Problem?”
Three State officers will be
attending the Leadership School.
They are; Gerald Metzler, State
treasurer; Nevin Mast, State
sentinel, and Howard Stoltzfus,
Eastern Regional vice
president. They will also lead
discussions concerning
developing leadership ability
with seperate groups of Chapter
officers.
The Owen J. Roberts Chapter
will be responsible for a 15-
minute presentation on Public
Relations at the Leadership
School. The reservation fee will
