A. Reinhart, manager of the
Buck office. It was Miss Thomas’
first official appearance since the
Miss America Pageant. Close to
250 people attended the ribbon
cutting and toured the new office
after the ceremony. By closing,
nearly 400 visitors had gone
through the new bank.
Free gifts, including the
souvenir coins mounted in a
commemorative folder, were
given to all guests at the opening.
Refreshments were served as
part of the festivities and all
visitors to the new Buck office
were invited to register for Grand
Opening prizes, including a color
television set. Prizes will be
awarded by drawing September
28th and the registration is open
until that morning. Portable
television sets will be given away
the same day at the Strasburg,
Willow Street and Lancaster
offices of the bank as part of the
celebration of the Buck opening.
The First National Bank of
Strasburg celebrated its 110th
Anniversay this year and is one of
the oldest banks in Lancaster
County. Assets total in excess of
50 million dollars. There are 407
stockholders with 50,000 shares of
outstanding stock.
