Society 25 Farm Women Society 25 members met Saturday, Sep tember 8 for the Anniversary Banquet at the Highville Fire Hall. The Kitchen-Aires, senior citizens band from Lititz, provided the entertainment. Members of Society 25 and 26 will entertain guests at Conestoga View September 20. A bake sale is set for September 15 at the Southern Market in Lan caster. Several members volunteered to, fold Christmas Seals October 11 between 1 and 4 p.m. at the Health and Welfare Center, Janet Avenue, Lancaster. A representative from Hickory Farms, Park City, will meet with the group to discuss a tour of the store. The program will be on decapouge by Mrs. Norman Shank. Society 27 Farm Women Society 27 had Harry Hovis, chemist, as guest speaker at a recent meeting. He spoke about his hobby, perfume making. In his lab, Hovis is able to duplicate perfumes he has smelled. “My favorite perfume fragrance” was given as the roll call by 20 members and two guests at this meeting at the home of Mrs. Arthur D. Wenger. Mrs. Raymond Martin was cohostess and Mrs. Russell Swarr was in charge of the devotions. Mrs. Ralph Garber entertained with two vocal solos. The Society voted to donate $25 to the Welsh Mountain Clinic, the Farm Women’s County Project. Members were given order slips to have filled out by Sep tember 25 for the sub sale, which is to be held October 2. Announcement was made that September is when dues are payable. Mrs. Mark Hatfield will be the speaker at County Convention on November 3 at Lancaster Bible College. Tickets are available from Mrs. Albert Fry Jr, president.
