An unofficial activity was
added to the schedule last year
and it proved to be so popular
that Secretary of Agriculture Jim
McHale and PDAIA president
Obie Snider have convinced the
show management to make it a
permanent part of the PAA.
The new event back for a
second appearance is Family
Day. It’s unofficial because it is
held Sunday, September 23, 1973,
the day before the opening of the
PAA. But the cows and bulls,
heifers and calves you’ll see are
all official entries in the premier
dairy cattle show east of the
Mississippi.
