The Western judge was Phil Maniscalo with Leonard Fisch bach judging English classes. Approximately 102 horses were shown. Tied for reserve championship was Jimmy, owned and shown by Ernie Runge, and Tapioca, owned and ridden by Shirley Craig. Both had 12 points By a toss of a coin, Tapioca was chosen reserve champion.
