have heard this is not so
that eagles always face left.

the eagle always faces to
ward the olive branch on
the Great Seal of the United
States which is the mili
tary right.

At Washington Meet
Manheim, Little Dutchman,
and Octorara chapter members
of FFA attended the national
FFA Conference in Washington
D.C. recently. The week-long
Washington Conference was held
at the National FFA Center near
the nation’s capital.
Among those attending were:

A highlight of the week’s ac
tivities came when the local boys
met with Congressman Edwin
Eshelman of the 16th District.

annual picnic on their hall
grounds Monday, July 23, 7 P.M.
The John Hersbey family will
entertain with instrumental and
vocal music at 8:15 and Mrs. J.
Stanley Stauffer Jr. will lead the
