June 30. 1973 30 Farm Agreement With One of the milestones achieved during the recent visit to this country of Soviet General Secretary Leonid Breznev was the signing of an agreement to cooperate in the field of agriculture. To implement this Agreement, a US-USSR Joint Committee on Agricultural Cooperation will be established, to meet once a year alternately in the two countries. The Joint Committee will review and approve specific projects, establish procedures, and make recommendations to the two Governments. Within the framework of the Joint Committee, two Working Groups will be established -- a Joint Working Group on Agricultural Economic Research and Information and a Joint Working Group on Agricultural Research and Technological Development.
