Two Named In Agri-Loan Positions

announced the election of David
L Hess to the position of Agn-
Loan Officer A graduate of
Donegal High School and Penn
State University, Hess joined the
Agn-Loan Department of the
Red Rose Beef
Club Has Meeting
The Red Rose 4-H Baby Beef
and Lamb Club held its monthly
meeting last Wednesday at the
Manheim Memorial Park
The business meeting was held
after the members played
baseball and volleyball.
President Ed Hess called the
meeting to order Nancy Herr
gave the minutes, followed by
several members giving reports
on their steers.
The next meeting will be an Ice
Cream party held at the Salunga
Park on July 11. A State
Policeman will be the speaker.
The Queen Contest will also be on
the program that night.

chop and mix organic matter, reducing it to fine compost. Or
use the grindings as a mulch.
ROOF RAMROD pulverizes glass, smashes tin cans,
emasculates branches (up to 1” in diameter), masticates
leaves, grass clippings, bagging them all. Dust-proof zippered
flannel-lined canvas bag contains disposable plastic bag.
ROOF RAMROD serves as trail-vacuum, too. Picks up and
bags grass clippings, leaves, cans, bottles, rocks, paper. Only
a hitch (optional at extra cost) is necessary to enable you to
pull it with your riding lawn mower or garden tractor. Or use
the Roof Ramrod as a blower to windrow leaves, or to blow
drives, sidewalks, patios clean. Sure you can use it as a snow
blower in dry snow.
ROOF RAMROD, when equipped with blower baffle and
nozzle, can easily be set to blow straight ahead or 90 degrees to
left of operator. A ‘A” electric welded steel impeller moves
maximum volume of air to windrow leaves, grass. Blows
sidewalks and drives clean. Blows debris out from under trees,'

Hess reside at Mount Joy RDI.
Robert P. Bucher, manager of
the Agn-Loan Department, also
announced that John W. Risser
has joined the Agri-Loan staff as
Agricultural Representative. A
native of Lebanon County, Risser
was graduated from Annville-
Cleona High School in Annville,
and Kansas State University with
a degree in Agricultural
Economics Previously, he had
been employed by the Union
Pacific Railroad in Kansas.
MerriMaids Meet
The 4-H Merrimaids met
Monday, June 18, at the Martin
Meylin Junior High School.
A demonstration, entitled
“Picture Plates”, was given by
Barbara Cramer and Joanne
Axe.
A point system was suggested
for a means of giving awards to
deserving members at the end of
the summer. The members
discussed the system, then
worked on their projects.

cents and excess up 72 cents.

the market was $7.22, an increase
of 66 cents over May 1972.
A total of 413 million pounds of
producer milk was pooled in May
of which 61.31 percent was sold as
Class I, showing a decrease of
0.13 percent of deliveries made in
April, and 2.4 percent increase
over May a year ago 8095 Order
No. 4 producers provided 13.3
million pounds per day to dealers
during May, averaging 1646
pounds per day per farm. Total
value of producer milk was set at
$29,942,383 00 for the month.
