with 22 members and 2 visitors
present.
Mrs. Lillian Eberly presented
the devotions and the roll-call
was answered by telling how they
spent their mornings.
Mrs. Jay Witmer, president,
had charge of the business
meeting. Final plans were made
for the food stand at the Manheim
Flea Market.
Mrs. Paul Donough gave a
report on the executive board
meeting.
Ten dollar awards were given
to Tina Haldeman and Rachel
Diffenderfer, members of
Manheim Central FHA and a ten
dollar award to Richard Kauff-

Following the business meeting
the group toured Hickory Farms
at Park City.
Prizes were won by Mrs. Ray
Hershey and Alvin Graybill. The
next meeting will be held
Saturday July 14 in Ruhl’s Picnic
Grove, Manheim RD3.
Those attending are asked to
bring lawn chairs.

Farm Women Society 25 met
Saturday afternoon, June 9, at
the home of Mrs. Harry Scheid,
Millwood Rd., Lancaster. Mrs. H.
Joseph Breneisen led devotions.

Announcement was made of
the Lancaster County Farm
Women’s Picnic at Central
Manor Camp Ground at 12 Noon
on Wednesday, August 1.
The program was “The
American Flag” with James
Cunningham and Raymond C.
Mullin from the Veterans of
Foreign Wars of the Millersville-
Manor Post as speakers.
The next meeting will be July
14 at the home of Mrs. John Metz.
A program on safety will be
presented.

Clinics Slated
The schedule of free pap clinics
for the month of June has been
announced by the Lancaster
County Unit, American Cancer
Society, and Family Planning
Centers.
Wednesday, June 20, is
American Cancer Society Pap
Night at the Lancaster Free
Clinic, 23 W. Strawberry St.,
between the hours of 7 and 10
p.m. No appointment is
necessary at that location.
The third clinic for the month is
scheduled for Wednesday 7 June
27, at the Welsh Mountain
Medical Center, Route 897, New
Holland RD2, from 1 to 3 p m.
Women in that area are asked to
telephone 354-9487 for an ap
pointment.

The Lancaster County Society
of Farm Women recently held an
executive board meeting. Mrs.
Harry Shonk of Society 6 was
hostess. Co-hostesses were Miss
Ida Kunkle, Society 10; Mrs.
Harry Hershey, Society 26. Mrs.
Richard Garber, Society 29, led
devotions.
It was reported that 107 Farm
Women from the county attended
