Weaver Drivers Honored
Twenty-seven drivers ot Victor
Weaver, Inc., New Holland, Pa.,
will be honored for safe driving
by Pennsylvania Manufacturers’
Association Insurance Company
during a banquet sponsored by
the poultry firm to be held at the
Blue Ball Fire HaU, Blue Ball,
Pa. on Saturday, May 19,1973 at
9:30 a.m.
The award presentation will be
under the direction of David W.
Klonicke, PMA loss prevention
consultant. Witnessing the affair
from Victor Weaver, Inc. will be

The “PMA Silver Award”
given for 5 to 9 years of safe
driving will be given to Lee

Half-Ton Record Set

An official production record
exceeding a half ton of butterfat
has been completed by Ja Ard
Bertha Graduate Graber 6577611,
a Registered Holstein cow owned
by John E. Kreider, Lancaster.
This is the first time that
“Graber” has achieved the 1,000
pound butterfat production level
in a single lactation.
The Kreider Holstein’s official
record of production totalled
24,820 pounds of milk and 1,016
pounds of butterfat in 365 days.
She started her lactation at the
age of 5 years 8 xponths and was
milked two times daily.
Ja Ard Bertha Graduate
Graber was bred in the herd of
Jack C. Bossard, Canisteo, New
York. She was sired by UNH
Burke Ideal Graduate 1368763
(VG), a bull that has earned a
Gold Medal Sire recognition.
Penn State University
supervised the weighing an
sample testing of her production
in cooperation with the Dairy
Herd Improvement Registry
program of the Holstein-Friesian
Association of Americp.
