Half-Ton Record Set By Kreider Holstein An official production record exceeding a half ton of butterfat has been completed by Ja Ard Bertha Graduate Graber 6577611, a Registered Holstein cow owned by John E. Kreider, Lancaster. This is the first time that “Graber” has achieved the 1,000 pound butterfat production level in a single lactation. The Kreider Holstein’s official record of production totalled 24,820 pounds of milk and 1,016 pounds of butterfat in 365 days. She started her lactation at the age of 5 years 8 xponths and was milked two times daily. Ja Ard Bertha Graduate Graber was bred in the herd of Jack C. Bossard, Canisteo, New York.
