September 12-14 in Lancaster’s
Host Corral, according to
William E. Ryan, chairman of
the association’s convention

theme of the convention is “A
Time for all Seasons ”
“We feel this theme will ac
curately emphasize the im
portance of time management
and timing in our business and
personal lives American
agriculture and agribusiness is
assuming a greater role than
ever in international affairs and
its time is now We hope to ex
plore the implications of this
concept for tomorrow’s society,”
Ryan said
“Of equal importance is the
management of time and we have
been successful in obtaining

conference costs,” said Carroll
Howes, Associate, State 4-H
leader “Contributions came
from state agricultural
organizations and industries as
well as local scholarships.”
While at the nation’s capitol,
the group participated in group
discussions and assemblies; took
bus tours to points of interest;
and were involved in numerous
recreational activities.

agribusiness conference included
Joe S. Taylor, chairman of dairy
science extension at Penn State;
Dr. Robert Wagner, Director of
extension at the University of
Maryland; Boyd Gartley, of
Inter-State Milk Producers
Cooperative; Dr. Robert White-
Stevens, chairman of the Bureau
of Conservation and En
vironmental Science at Rutgers
University; and Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Moore, of Chatham, Penn
