The first part of the program Students Annual Work Drive Passes Goal Students at Lancaster Men nonite High School have passed their $30,000 goal set for the annual work drive held in April. The drive where students work for local businesses and donate wages and all contributions to the campus development program also included an auction, sub sale, car wash, and a chicken barbecue. The auction, a new feature this year, netted $5,006 from donated household items, baked goods and livestock. The matching funds from friends of the school took the figure over $lO,OOO. Students contributed wages and donations above wages of $13,269. The sub sale netted $607, bake sales's47s, car wash $765, and the chicken barbecue amounted to $2,551. Dr. Lester Brubaker, principal, said, “We appreciate the efforts and dedication of the students on the behalf of their school. They are to be commended for their work.” The work drive is in support of the current two million dollar building and campus develop ment program of the' school. Development plans are moving ahead with the old boys’ dorm already demolished and the home economics department to be moved to the easting basement of the girls’ dorm, and the passageway through the furnace Lancaster Farming, Saturday. Participants in the panel will be: Stanley B. Smith, Poultry Nutritionist, Agway, Inc., Buffalo, New York, will speak on “Know Your Feeding Program for Least Cost Production.” Dr. Richard G. Peacock, manager of technical services, Pennfield Corporation, will speak on “Computer Formulation.” Olin A. Roweth, vice president, director of Research and Technical Ser vices, The Beacon Milling Company, Cayuga, New York, room to be completed this summer.
