FEED LETTER
Data was from the D. H. I. A. official records
from seven dairymen who are feeding CIS
controlled release. Only cows beyond 60 days
of lactation were considered. Actual milk
production was compared against projected
milk production. The average increase in
production was 4.47 pounds per cows.
Lets look at some of the possible reasons for
this increase.
1. Feeding CIS free choice helps fill the gap in
nutritional needs we are not able to
calculate
2. Many producers report an increase in
roughage consumption. This may result in
increased production of both milk and
butterfat.
3. Feeding CIS helps stimulate water intake.
4. Feeding CIS helps to adjust for variations in
the quality and intake of roughage.
5. Increased intake of protein, phosphorus,
mineral and vitamin sources.
Nobody can tell you if Cargill's controlled
release liquid supplement will help your herd.
Nobody that is but your cows. Of course, if they
can't try it, they can't tell you either.
