New John Deere Sound-Idea tractors: front row, left to

pictured with the new 4-post Roll-Gard, which is an integral
part of the Sound-Gard Body shown on the other three
models. Sound-Gard Body is also available for the 4030.
This 8 hp Tracker snow thrower from Aliis-Chalmers
features a cut of 28 in., a fully-winterized Briggs and Stratton
engine, a reversible and replaceable scraper blade and
freeze-proof controls. For safety and convenience operating
controls are located on the operator's panel. The “deadman
control traction drive” stops the snow thrower in both
forwardand reverse when a trigger on the operator's handle
is released. An adjustable discharge spout rotates 270
degrees to throw snow and drift accumulations “with the
wind.” The unit also tips forward to reduce space
requirement by 40 percent to allow easier off-season
storage.
