Keller Conference Center, and end at noon the following day. Chairman for the conference is Donald Ace of the university’s dairy science extension office. Anyone interested in attending should contact N. Alan Bair at the Lancaster County Farm and Home Center by February 16. There will be a registration fee of $l2 per person. According to the Pennsylvania Crop Reporting Service, apple production for the com monwealth totaled 400 million pounds in 1972, a decrease of 140 million pounds from the previous year’s production total of 540 million pounds. York Imperial, the com monwealth’s leading apple variety, was down 26 percent from last year. A production estimate of 98 mil’>on pounds accounts for over 24 percent of the total state apple crop.
