Kauffman Honored
By State Jaycees
Robert L Kauffman, Peach
Bottom R 2, has been named
Pennsylvania’s outstanding
young farmer by the Penn
sylvania Jaycees. Kauffman was
also named one of the state’s ten
outstanding young men by the
Jaycees at their annual state
banquet last Saturday night in
Philadelphia.
Earlier this year, Kauffman
had received an outstanding
young farmer award from the
Quarryville Jaycees. Both
Kauffman and his wife, Susan,

FFA Sparks Interest
In Community

A new community park, an
ecological center to serve area
schools, an employment service
for young people and a project
to build community pride. These
are just a few of the activities
carried out in the past year by
FFA chapters participating in
Building Our American Com
munities (BOAC) program.
This new FFA activity has
received wide acclaim by govern
ment leaders including the Pres
ident of the U. S. and the Secre
tary of Agriculture.
