Membership is open to former active, collegiate, or honorary FFA or NFA members and both present and former professional vocational agricultural educa tors. Membership in the asso ciation inaj either be direct or through state or local affiliates. The National FFA Alumni Association consists of chartered state and local affiliates organ ized on a school, county, or other area basis. The national association charters local affili ates within a state until the state affiliate in chartered. Once char tered, the state association shall charter local affiliates within the state.
