He feels that cows should be checked by a vet to determine whether or not they’re with calf. Other items he mentined were that barns should be ventilated, beds shouldn’t be lumpy and cows in stanchions should be let out at least ones a day. Cats and dogs shouldn’t be in the barn because of the danger of diseases. Stebbins also believes cows should be brushed periodically, because they look better and feel better.
