    The Governor and the Girls . . .
Governor Milton Shapp's duties at the Pennsylvania Farm
Show are largely ceremonial, and mostly pleasant. He got
gifts and sales pitches from every Pennsylvania queen, from
Apples to Tree Growers. Above, left, we see him getting a
lesson on milking from the Dairy Princess. Top, right, the
governor is all smiles as he receives an airplane from the
queen of the flying farmers. The governor's barely concealed
excitement kept mounting as he received the words and the
produce of the mushroom growers and the Christmas tree
association.
