—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, January 13, 8 Linda Miller topped them all and became the third member of her family to win the baby beef grand cham pionship at a Pennsylvania State Farm Show. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller, Halifax R 2, Dauphin County. Janies Wylie, Nottingham R 2, showed the champion Angus steer at the 4-H Beef Show. He then went on to take the reserve championship in competition with the first place crossbred and Hereford steers. Wylie is shown here with Mrs. James McHale, wife of the Secretary of Agriculture, and deputy secretary, James Kerstetter. Judy Zimmerman, an 11-year-old 4-H’er from Ephrata Rl, took reserve champion honors in the Hereford breed on Thursday at the Farm Show. Her steer finished second to the animal that went on to win the grand championship for all breeds. Reserve champion honors in the crossbred steer category of the 4-H beef show went to Linda Good, Lititz R 2.
