Marlin Smoker, 17, is a
member of the Cloister FFA

reporter He is a son of Mr and

His farming program includes
a herd of registered Holsteins,
market hogs, veal calves and
field corn His farming program
records have earned him awards
on the county and state levels
Marlin was a member of
Pennsylvania’s milk products
team that judged at the Eastern
States Exposition, Springfield,
Mass He has attended three
state FPA Conventions and won
awards in judging milk, land, and
dairy cattle
Marlin exhibited the grand
champion market hog at last
years Lancaster County FFA
Show He also exhibited the
junior champion at the regional
FFA dairy show held at
Harrisburg
He attended the 1972 National
FFA Convention in Kansas City
and was a member of the winning
dairy cattle judging team at the
North American Dairy Cattle
Show at Columbus, Ohio
Cliff Charles
Manor FFA Chapter
Clifford Charles, Lancaster
RD2, is a son of Mr and Mrs
Abram Charles and a senior at
Penn Manor High School He is
vice-president of the Manor FFA
Chapter.
His farming program has
produced about 150 pigs from his
original swine project as a fresh
man He has eight acres of corn
and kept records on 10 acres of
corn, and nine acres of alfalfa He
has also fattened 35 hogs
Cliff judged livestock at the
State Convention, where he
received a silver award for two
years At the National Con
vention at Kansas City he earned
a bronze award in swine
showmanship
