COWS & FIRST CALF HEIFERS
Sale to be held in the dairy arena at the ABERDEEN
SALES CO. in Churchville, Harford Co., Md. located on
Md. Rt. 22,6 mi. east of Bel Air, Md. (via U.S. Rt. 1) and
6 mi. west of Aberdeen, Md. (via U.S. Rt. 40 or 1-95) on
FRIDAY, JANUARY 12,
We will sell the entire herd of Mr. John Francis of
Whitehall, Md. This herd consists of 35 head of mature
Holstein milking cows of which 15 freshened in the last
60 days; 6 are close springers; balance of herd is
milking and re-bred. There are 8 large bred heifers
ready to freshen in early spring; 13 large open heifers;
and 12 yearling heifers. This is a good herd of mostly
2nd and 3rd calf cows. The herd has been on D.H.I.A.
testing for several years. Individual records will be
available.
Mr. John Bell of Catlett, Va. will have one load of top
fresh Ist calf heifers here for the sale. Heifers are
milking from 50-60 lbs. per day.
There will be 20-25 local cows and heifers consigned,
majority are springers. These animals show top quality
and will freshen between January 15 and February 15.
All cattle are certified bangs free and are T.B. Ac
credited; tested within 30 days of sale for interstate
shipment. All cows that are milking will be examined by
a veterinarian for pregnancy.
We hope to see all of you at this sale. It will be a fine
opportunity to buy fine animals.
