Hew Holland Inter-State Annual Meet
A crowd of about 160 people
attended last Friday night’s
annual meeting of Inter-State
Milk Producers New Holland
chapter at the Leola War
Memorial Building.
Inter-State president John Cole
was present and spoke to the
members on a number of topics.
He mentioned a milk hearing
scheduled this week for New
York, and urged members to
attend.
Cole also talked about the state
wide milk referendum scheduled
for Pennsylvania dairymen on

is being held to determine if
dairymen are willing to support a
milk promotion program.
Cole urged producers to vote
against the program, because he
didn’t feel that advertising could
help sell more milk. He pointed
out that Inter-State’s board of
directors had gone on record in
opposition of check-offs for milk
promotion.
