Prices trended slightly higher
within the unchanged range on
light type hens. Demand good
with offerings barely adequate
for needs as some previous of
ferings withdrawn due to ad
vance egg market. Offerings of
heavy type hens barely adequate
for a good demand at higher
prices. Prices paid at farm:
Light type hens 6-9 mostly in
Pennsylvania, Mostly 8-B‘/ 2 In
N.J. Heavy type 15-16.

fairly good with current arrivals
clearing well on mediums. Large
are in balance however a few
dealers have ample stocks for an
only fair interest. Extra large
and jumbos are in a surplus
position with demand on these
size not sufficient to clear in
ventories
Cartoned orders are good with
available supplies light on
medium and smalls and some
buyers are having to reach out to
get stocks from other than
regular shippers

The Inter-State Milk
Producers’ Cooperative, with its
home office in Philadelphia, has
some 3000 dairy farmers
members in 24 districts in
Delaware, New Jersey
Maryland and Pennsylvania
These districts, in turn, are
divided into 77 locals whose H 4
delegates will vote on resolutions
and new business at Wednesday’s
session.
In addition to the address by
Edwin Forsythe at the banquet
Tuesday evening, Patrick B.
Healy, secretary of the National
Milk Producers Federation, will
be featured on the banquet
program. Entertainment will be
provided by Jeanne Steel, a
nationally known entertainer.
Harry T. Kaufmann, director
of public relations for Dairy
Council, Inc., Philadelphia, will
be toastmaster at the banquet.
A special Ladies Meeting on
Tuesday morning, November 14,
will offer wives of delegates a’
program, followed by an af
ternoon of shopping either in
Center City Philadelphia or King
of Prussia Mall.
The Young Cooperator Con
sultant Committee will hold their
third annual Breakfast before the
Wednesday morning session.
