The second monthly meeting of
the Manor FFA was held
recently. The meeting was called
to order by the president, Greg
Landis.
Greg Landis called on the
chairmen of the various com
mittees to report on what they
have done. Karl Brandt, chair-
man of the clay bird shoot
committee, reported that the clay
bird shoot would be held on Oc
tober 22.
There were also two other
committee reports. Dave Hess
reported that there were four
candidates for Cahpter
Sweetheart. Clair Hostetler
reported that the school gym

for the use of the Manor Chapter
starting December 4.
The tentative budget for the
coming year was formed by the
members of the budget com
mittee with Parke Hess as
chairman. Some of the money is
used for: Kansas City trip; for
outstanding seniors; Greenland
night; Penn State; Father and
Son Banquet, and a summer trip.
The meeting was adjourned,
with refreshments available
after the meeting.

Wanted: Youth to
Join 4-H Sheep Club
A 4-H Sheep Club is being
organized in southern and
western Chester County. The first
meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, October 27 at the farm of
Warn Menhennett, Bryson Road,

Membership in the sheep club
is open to boys and girls who will
be eight years old by January Ist,
1973 and not more than 18 years
old by the first of the year.
Children who join the dub will be
expected to acquire a sheep that
they can care for. There are no
dues and booklets and plans are
free. The club may, however,
decide on a small fee for refresh
ments.
In addition to local club
meetings where children will
learn about the care and feeding
of sheep, club members will
participate in the Chester-
Delaware County 4-H Sheep
Roundup, the Regional Show and
possibly the Pennsylvania Farm
Show. Last year the winning 4-H
Market Lamb at the Farm Show
sold for more than $3,000.

Silver Spurs Club
Plans Trail Ride
The Silver Spurs 4-H Horse and
Pony Club held its October
meeting at the Home of Randy
and Jim Click. The meeting was
called to order by the president,
Randy Click. Roll call and dues
were taken by the treasurer, Jim
Click.
