Cows steady to 25c higher. Bulls fully steady. Feeders strong to 50c higher. Four day receipts 17,900 as compared with 17,000 previous week and 19,800 a year ago. Steers approximately 28 percent, heifers 40 percent with rather liberal showing Choice and percentage of Choice increased by volume of two-way steers and heifers returned to feedlot for further finish. Fed cattle trade continued to show high measure of stability even in face of a somewhat bearish carcass trade. Most slaughterers in need of cattle for immediate requirements and aggressive feeder buyer demand offered strong support to good and Low- Choice short fed steers and heifers. Late week marketings swelled by arrival of second annual “T-Bone special” from Audubon, lowa territory.
