Hold Clinic
The Rough Riders 4-H Horse
and Pony Club held a clinic
recently at the residence of Mrs.
Jane Groff, Quarryville. The
members were instructed by
Miss Nancy Henkel, Club
president.
At 1 p.m. everybody took a
break and took advantage of the
picnic lunch and cookout. Af
terwards, everyone went on a
short trail ride led by Candy
Groff.
A baby shower was held for
Mrs. Thomas Bailey, Christiana
RD. The Club presented Mrs.
Bailey with a baby carrier.
The Rough Riders Club enjoyed
the clinic.

Covered Dish Supper
The Boots and Saddles Club
had a covered dish supper for
members and their families
Saturday, September 9 at the
home of Donna Rousseau, Penn
Grant Road. There were 31
members and 35 parents present.
After supper some of the
members took rowboat rides,
followed by a short meeting. It
was decided to have a trail ride
and a Halloween party in Oc
tober. The dates are to be an
nounced at the next meeting,
October 6, at the Farm Credit
Office.
Trophies will be awarded to the
high point winners of the Club’s
through the summer, at the
October 6 meeting. There will be
a trophy and reserve ribbon
awarded for each class.
