Cows short 10 percent, feeders 9
percent. Fed cattle prices
declined for fourth successive
week and closing levels on steers
some 2.50 below early July peak
and heifers 2.50-3.00 lower. In
reflection of sharply decling
carcass trade where volume on
some days was insufficient to
