USDA Extends Deadline for Comments on Dairy Proposal The time limit for comments on a proposal to revise dairy in spection and grading regulations has been extended from 30 to 90 days, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced today. The proposal, published in the June 8, 1972, Federal Register, provided for interested parties to submit comments by July 10, 1972. Requests to provide ad ditional time for comments have been granted and the new deadline in Sept. 6, 1972 The proposed changes in the voluntary dairy inspection and grading program would limit appeals for reinspection or regrading of products con taminated by filth or other harmful substancs.
