Merri-Maids
Plan Roundup
The Strasburg Merri-Maids
Sewing and Cooking Club met
recently at the Martin Mylin
Junior High School. The
president, Joyce Houser, led in
the Club pledge and roll call was
answered by each member
giving their favorite vegetable.
Barbara Cramer gave a
demonstration on how to make
attractive recipe holders. The
cooking girls made speedy,
Spanish Rice. The sewing girls
worked on their garments.
Roundup will be held Monday
afternoon, July .31 at Martin
Mylm Junior High School at 3
p.m Mothers and friends are
invited.
The next regular meeting of the
Club will be held July 31 at 12 -30

Holds Swim Party
The Ayrshire, Jersey, Brown
Swiss 4-H Club held its sixth
meeting last week at the Masonic
Homes. The meeting was in the
form of a swimming party.
Later in the evening the
meeting was called to order by
the president, Linda Witmer.
Mr. Bair gave remarks about
getting animals ready for the
Roundup. The meeting was
adjourned and refreshments
were served

and diapers to be distributed by
the Mennonite Central Relief

Carolyn Landis, 782 Hartman

been selected as the group’s
queen candidate to participate at
the Farm and Home Center in
August. At that time one of the
candidates will be selected as the
County Queen.
