Swartzentruber, president and general manager of Vigortone Products Company, Cedar Rapids, lowa, has an nounced the construction start of an ultra-modern, automated livestock pre-mix manufacturing facility and area office at Marion, Ohio. Swarzentruber said the new facility would supply the demand for the company’s pre-mixes and animal health products in the states east of Indiana. The dance will start at 8:00 p.m., and will take place at the Riverview Elementary School, Route 441, Marietta. Paul Andrews will call the dance. Broiler Placements Decline 9 per cent Placements of broiler chicks in the Commonwealth during the week ending June 24, 1972 were 1,204,000. The placements were 9 per cent below the corresponding week a year earlier, and 5 per cent below the previous week. Average placements during the past 10 weeks were 6 per cent below a year earlier. Settings for boiler chicks were 1,936,000-12 per cent above the previous week, but 7 pier cent below the comparable period a year earlier. The current 3-week total of eggs set is 7 per cent below the same period a year ago. Inshipments of broiler-type chicks during the past 10 weeks averaged 63,000 compared with 1,000 a year ago.
