Fulton Grange Observes Annual Memorial Servi Fulton Grange 66 held its regular meeting at the Grange Hall, Oakryn, with Charles McSparran conducting the business session. The Charter was draped in memory of Mrs. Dora Anderson. The annual memorial service, in charge of the chaplain, Gyles Brown, paid tribute to the following members: Thomas Graff, Theodore Nye, Jr. Robert Reed and Mrs. Dora Anderson. Opening and closing memorial thoughts were presented by acting master C. G. McSparran. Assistant stewards Miss Donna and Lloyd Welk escorted the chaplain and flora, Mrs. Rebecca Quinn, to the alter, where she placed white carnations in memory of the deceased mem bers. The chaplain led the Grange in repeating The Lord’s Prayer; a poem “A Garden” was read by the lecturer, Mrs. J. Henry Wenger, Colerain Grange, presented Robert Welch, Claims Director of Educators Mutual Life Insurance Company and a member of the Penn sylvania Health Care Committee who worked with the National Health Institute committee, who spoke on “National Health In surance Legislation” and showed a film “Healthcare Crisis In The 70’s.” He said there are several health care bills in Congress and indications are that a health care bill will be passed. He urged Grangers to write their Congressmen in support of the Burleson-Mclntyre bill which is endorsed by the National Grange and the Pennsylvania State Grange. A game was conducted by the lecturer, Mrs. J. Stanley Stauffer. The Junior Grange, in charge of Glenn Hough, met and will be meeting the second and fourth Mondays when the Subordinate Grange meets. Go-to-Church Night will be observed at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 28 at the Grange Hall with the Rev. Berwyn H, Russell Jr, pastor of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church preaching. Special music will be presented by the Lan caster County Pomona Chorus The service will be preceded by a covered dish supper at 6:45 P.M. in charge of the Women’s Activities committee. They will provide rolls, butter and beverage. Each family attending is to bring a meat dish, another dish and their own place setting The public is invited. June Dairy Month will be ob served at the next meeting, June 12. Mrs. Ira Welk, Mrs Charles Reath and Mrs. J. Everett Kreider will be in charge of making some 80 quarts of homemade ice cream and the refreshment committee will !
