Boots and Saddles Club Holds
First Horse Show of Season
The Boots and Saddles 4-H
Horse and Pony Club held its fifth
annual Open all-western show
last Sunday at the Lancaster
Riding Club Grounds. A total of
115 horses and ponies were
brought to compete in the areas
first show for this year.

Each member gave a report on
their steers. The 4-H leaders
reports were given.
Guest speaker of the evening
was H M. Fortna from the
Conestoga Animal Hospital,
Ephrata RD3. His subject was on
diseases and caring for steers.
The group was served by the
hostess, Mrs. Yoder.
Next meeting will be held
Monday night, May 15 at 7:30
p.m. at the home of Sue and
William Hughes.

Farm Credit Office. The meeting
was called to order by the
president, Jim Watts.
Secretary Rohm Fellenbaum
called the roll. Forty-two
members and eight parents were
present. Miss Fellenbaum read
the minutes of the March
meeting. They were approved as
read.
Discussed under old business
was the success of the second
riding clink; which was held at
LANDIS BROS., INC.

be helping throughout the year.
The group enjoyed a film en
titled “A Horse to Match our
Mountain”, which was shown by
Robert Gregory.
