Stale Grange Emphasizes Youth Leadership
Development of youth
leadership talent, a major
project of the Pennsylvania State
Grange, promises constructive
direction of social, economic and
related factors in rural Penn
sylvania, A. Wayne Readinger,
state grange master, said.
Readinger said added em
phasis on leadership will continue
through the remainder of April -
youth month on the grange
calendar This theme, he added,
will prevade youth activities
during the remainder of the
grange year ending with the 100th
State Grange Convention October
23-26 at Williamsport.
Heading the program are state
youth co-chairmen Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Schlegel, Fleetwood
RD3, and members of their
committees; Curtis Marshall,
Ellwood City RDI; Richard
Smith, Athens RD2; Mrs. Aleta
Starkey, Washington; Mrs. Allen
Dean Grove, Entriken; Douglas
Bonsall, Millerstown RDI, and
Mr and Mrs. Robert Hollabaugh,
Warren.
Added to the youth program
this year for the first time is a
public speaking contest. Entry
forms may be obtained from the
Schlegels and must be returned
