Mrs. Hollinger announced that a bus trip is being planned to go to the McCormick Tea House, Sherwood Gardens and Columbia Village, located in the Baltimore area on Junel4. Further in formation will be available at the next meeting. Society members will sew at the General Hospital from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18. Mrs. Doris Thomas, Lancaster Pb. 653-1451 County Home Economist, was the speaker. She presented a demonstration on salad making Mrs. Franklin Weber gave the invocation and Mrs Martin Moore presented the devotions. Hostesses were Mrs Daniel Brubaker and Mrs. Adrian deVink. Mrs. George Russo Jr, Lan caster, will present a program titled “Its Easy to be Creative" at the next meeting scheduled at 6 15 p m May 5. The meeting will feature the Mother-Daughter Banquet and will be held at the Brunnerville Fire Hall. Society 2 Farm Women Society 2 members entertained II mem bers of Society 16 at the Manheim Fire Hall last Saturday. There were 21 members present. Mrs. Ruth Waltz was in charge of devotions. The president, Mrs. Marlin Hosier, conducted the business meeting and gave a report of the executive board meeting held recently. It was announced that the County project for the year will beLARC. The women will go to Em breeville State Hospital the evening of April 21, where they will entertain the guests and serve refreshments. Speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. Betty Charles, a missionary in Brazil who is now home on furlough. Her subject was “Rediscovery of God.” Mrs. Elizabeth Shenk and Mrs. Ruth Waltz had charge of the games. Prizes were won by Mrs. Elsie Graham, Society 16, and _ Mrs. Pauline Gordlev, Society 2. Mrs. Hanna of Society 16 and Mrs. Arlene Strickler of Society 2 won the door prizes. Lancaster Farming. Plans were made to entertain guests at the Neffsville Brethren Home on May 2. A rehearsal of the skits, readings and music to be presented was held. Arrangements were completed for the annual Spring Rally to be held at Seven Springs Resort, Somerset County on May 10. “Guess Which Member Said It” was moderated by Mrs Henry Hess. The prize for the game was won by Mrs Lloyd Herr. The monthly club award, “The Pig”, was won by Mrs Robert Howser. Society 25 Farm Women Society 25 members met last Saturday at the home of Mrs. Melvin Groff, Lancaster RD6. Mrs. Groff and Mrs. Melvin Groff were hostesses. Mrs John Henderson led the devotions During the business meeting, the group approved a con tribution of $25 to the County project, LARC Mrs John Metz, president, will be contributing cookies for the USD birthday party Following the business meeting, the group toured Founders Hall.
