Association toured Lancaster
County Holstein farms this week.
Included in the tour were the

After lunch, the Penn Springs
Farm of Bob Kauffman,
Elizabethtown RDI, was visited.
In this herd of outstanding cows,
one cow was recently named as
Junior All-American two-year
old for 1971.
Modem calf-raising facilities
with irrigation of liquid manure
was a highlight observed at the
John B. Groff farm, Mount Joy
RDI.
The tour was guided by John T.
Smith, York County ag agent,
and N. Alan Bair, assistant
Lancaster County ag agent.
