Willow Valley Restaurant
Miss Cathy Ann Garber,
daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert
Garber, Mountville, gave an
organ recital before dinner and
during dessert She also ac
companied the group during the
group singing period led by Mrs
John Gmnch, Society 4 song
leader, and guest leaders Willis
Nolt and Robert Nolt
Willis Reapsome, Landisville,
gave the invocation
Martin K Brown, Lancaster,
chose as the title of his talk
“Peter Piper Picked a Peck of
Pickled Peppers ” Brown is an
engineer employed in the color
tube division of RCA and is past
president of the Conestoga
Chapter, Toastmaster Club
Door prizes, eight rabbit cakes
prepared by Mrs Carl Siegnst
and daughters Cindy and Mrs
Carol Grossman, were awarded
after serving as centerpieces on
each table Mrs Siegnst is
program chairman, assisted by
Mrs Henry Reist Also assisting
was Mrs Robert Herr, Mrs
Edith Musser, Mrs Martin

ville, outlined plans for a bus trip
to Gettysburg on April 15 There

the Memorial Methodist Church,
Quarryville
Society 4 entertained members
of the Alpha Club recently m the
Lancaster YWCA, teaching
various crafts
The next regular meeting of
Society 4 is planned for 1 30 p m
Aprill 22 in Zion Lutheran
Church, Landisville, with Mrs
Paul Kauffman and Mrs Wilbur
Kauffman serving as hostesses
Society 6
Farm Women Society 6 met at
the home of Mrs Joseph Greiner,
Mount Joy Serving as hostesses
were Alice Greiner, Mane Hoffer
and Minnie Kolp
The Easter Story was given by
Alice Greiner and a solo “Jesus
Speaks to Our World Today” was
sung by Andrew Greiner
During the social period games
were won by Anna Geyer, Eva
Thome, Miriam Heisey, Alice
Greiner, Mary Thome, Barbara
Eberly and Bertha Keller
The group voted to conduct a
birthday party at the Harrisburg
Hospital on July 20 for all Lan
caster County guests
The next meeting will be held
Saturday, May 6 at the
Elizabethtown Church of the
Brethren when Society 6 will
entertain Society 20

Farm Women Society 11 met
recently in the social rooms of
Quarryville Methodist Church
During the devotional period,
scripture verses from St John 20
were read followed by prayer
The group sand “Follow the
Gleam ”
During the t is mess portion of
the meeting the treasurer’s
report and report of the secretary
were accepted and approved A
sunshine report was given
Mrs Loren Bucher gave a
report of the Executive meeting
Spring Rally will be held in
Somerset County May 10. The
County Convention will be held in
the Fall at the Farm and Home
Center
Donations were given to help in
furnishing a kitchen at the Farm
and Home Center, and to the
Crippled Childrens Bureau
Society 11 will have helpers at
General Hospital to help in the
sewing Room April 26 The hours
are from 9am to 2 p m
Members of Society 11 are
invited to meet with Society 28
members at Strasburg Fire Hall
the evening of April 27
At the close of the business
meeting Mrs John Hess en
tertained with her display of
decorated eggs An auction also
was held
The April meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs J Paul Nolt,
Lancaster, on April 27
Society 27
Farm Women Society 27 met at
the home of Mrs Robert Kauff
man, Elizabethtown RDI, Special
guests included four County
Officers and two women whose
names are on the waiting lists as
prospective members
