Clyde Martin, left, East Earl RDI, presents the Out
standing Young Farmer award to Larry R. Weaver, New
Holland RDI. Weaver placed second to Clarence Keener,
Manheim RDI, in the Lancaster County contest. Keener
went on to become Pennsylvania Outstanding Young Far
mer.
Frank Yost, left, presents the high DHIA member
award to his brother John Yost. John’s herd produced
15,393 pounds of milk and 656 pounds of
butterfat. This was the third highest Lancaster County
DHIA average in 1971. Frank was Garden Spot chapter
secretary during the past year.
